Welcome to Glenda Nieman Fine Art.  I am pleased that you have stopped by for a little preview and to look around my web site.  I hope that you enjoy your visit and that you find some oil paintings that intrigue you.  I have added some text to many of the paintings to give you a brief impression of why I chose each particular subject. 

I paint to a large extent from photographs.  Most of the photos are pictures that I have taken on one of my many adventures around Arizona and through out the United States, Canada and Western Europe.  Others have been special photos of loved ones and beloved pets that were given to me by friends and clients to depict their picture on canvas as a lifetime memory.  I specialize in the oil painting of animals in the wild and of pets.  One of my favorite parts of painting pets is having the opportunity to meet and photograph the animal in person, either solitary or interacting with their owner, and then translating their energy and essence on to canvas.  It truly is a joyful process.

My aspiration for this site is to be able to show some of my pieces to those who appreciate original art work.  In addition, I am offering for sale, any of my paintings that tugs on your heart strings.  However, the Pet Portraits have been completed for individual clients and as such are for viewing only.  More information is available on my Contact page with regard to communicating, purchasing and/or commissioning an original painting, a gicleé, or a poster.
